Cornwall needs a bespoke hedgehog hospital or rather ‘hogspital’! With over 1,300 hedgehogs admitted a year the rescue must expand to ensure we never have to turn a hedgehog away.

The build is underway! The site has been cleared, water supply has been brought in and we have just completed the piling (foundations). The next step is electricity, fencing and drainage. If you would like to donate click here.

There are lots of things you can do to help hedgehogs this autumn. With our current wet weather there is limited dry nest material. You can pop some dry nesting material in a plant pots on its side for hedgehogs to help themselves to.

🔥 Be bonfire aware this autumn 🔥

Bonfires to hedgehogs are often ready made homes, the centre providing a dry, sheltered place to nest. Our advice is always to move the bonfire on the day of lighting, this ensures any hedgehogs or other wildlife
